Mr. Apiram Sinthupachee, PhD student
Whenever our students begin a new chapter of their educational journey, everyone here can feel the excitement.
He has received a scholarship from the Royal Golden Jubilee PhD program under supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Narumol Matan.
Mr. Apiram Sinthupachee, a Ph.D. student in Agro-Industry (Food Science and Technology), School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry, Walailak University, and the student researcher in our group, is currently researching in the School of Nutrition Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ottawa, Canada under research group of Prof. Dr.Chibuike Udenigwa.
“Not only have I learned about the technical aspects of food chemistry and bioactive compounds, but I surely have also become a better person by choosing to research as a visiting student outside my home country. I was challenged to break out of my comfort zone and to use reasoning to defend my thoughts and values, many times not being understood by others.
I have a lot more left to achieve but I’m proud for how far I have come. I am very thankful for my supervisor(s), my parents, the Royal Golden Jubilee PhD program, my colleagues, and the Center of Excellence in Innovation of Essential Oil and Bioactive Compounds.
